Drain Cleaning & Descaling

As well as clearing blockages, which solves the immediate problem, we also offer a drain descaling and cleaning service to treat the cause of the blockage. The most common cause of blockages comes from deposits of detergent and grease building up, and the second most common is inappropriate disposal of materials. We offer to clean and descale your drains thoroughly either as a one-off service, or as a tailor made regular service.

Drain Repair & Replacement

Our qualified engineers have a wealth of experience with nearly every drain out there, and so their experience is not limited to just one make or one method. We can carry out repairs using a variety of different methods with materials ranging from plastic to pitch fibre, to concrete.

Drain Lining

Whilst sometimes there is no other option but to renew a drain, generally it is possible to instead reline drains. This can be a less expensive and less disruptive option, it is also cleaner and causes little to no disturbance to the ground in which the drain sits.

Power Flush

Radiators rust internally producing black iron oxide 'sludge'. This sludge moves around the heating system blocking pipes, valves and boilers (pumps / heat exchangers / diverter valves).

Power flush equipment, normally set up outside, connects to your central heating and cleans the whole system without having to take off all the radiators.

Powerflush cleaner is added to the system water and starts to loosen the rust. The heating is turned on and radiator surfaces checked for cold spots. By flushing water through individual radiators and vibrating cold spots the sludge is rapidly loosened. The sludge flows from radiators and is collected at our magnet filter.

All radiators and pipe work are power flushed until water samples are clean and pH neutral.

A corrosion inhibitor is added to the clean water, radiators are balanced as required and the system left working Our professional and friendly engineers will thoroughly powerflush your central heating system guaranteeing you:

Gas Safety Inspections

In 1996 the government passed law that all landlords who rent part or all of a property must have all gas pipework and appliances checked every twelve months and certified to make sure the installation meets gas safety regulations. Annual gas safety inspections and issue landlords gas safety certificates also known as CP12's. We use the latest test equipment, combustion gas analysers, electronic gas leak detectors and carbon monoxide detectors.

If you are renting out a property you are required under The Gas Safety Installation and Use Regulations 1998 to have all gas appliances regularly serviced as per manufacturer's instructions, failure to do so could render your insurance invalid and place your tenants at risk.

What does a gas safety inspection include?

  1. Visual inspection of the installation, appliance position, terminal position and signs of incomplete combustion.
  2. Check casings and seals.
  3. Check gas meter for access and correct labelling.
  4. Carry out a tightness test of the installation.
  5. Check standing, working and burner pressure.
  6. Check gas rate and compare with manufacturers data.
  7. Check ventilation.
  8. Test flue flow for correct combustion and operation of flue.
  9. Test all flame failure devices for correct operation.
  10. Investigate any evidence of unsafe operation of appliances.

We will only fail an installation if there is a risk of the appliance becoming dangerous or if the appliance or installation is an immediate danger to the life of the occupants of the property. There are allot of installations which are not installed to current standards these are just noted on the certificate but not failed. However if there is an appliance which fails, a warning notice will be given and the appliance labelled, turned off or with your permission disconnected if immediately dangerous. If we carry out the remedial work to make the appliance or installation safe for you we will not charge for the second certificate.

Plastering & Skimming

This is the application of a finishing plaster known in the trade as a 'two coat skim' over walls & ceilings. The result is a smooth surface which is ready for painting or papering.


This is the application of a sand & cement mix to exposed brickwork which offers a good impermeable surface. Internally, outward facing walls are rendered, internal facing walls are bonded. Rendering a wall consists of the application of two layers, firstly the scratch coat which offers the second layer a flat & even surface & also a good key. The second coat is rubbed down to complete a quality finished surface.

Tanking & Waterproof Render

Tanking is the application of a continuous water resistant barrier coating on the inside of an existing building or applied to the external surfaces of a property to prevent water ingression.


This term relates to the securing of plasterboards over stud walls, brickwork & ceilings using screws on timber or adhesive on masonry (Dot + Dab). Once drylined the area can be skimmed. Dry lining uses plasterboard fixed to the walls & is therefore a relatively dry process, which can be decorated shortly after completion. Dry lining can be taped & jointed using special paper tape or it can be skim coated.


Screeding is leveling & smoothing the top layer of a material that is poured, such as concrete, so the material is the same height as the forms, or guides, that surround it. While screeding concrete is a common example used in gardening & home improvement.


Artex is applied to ceilings & walls to produce a durable, long lasting & artistic finish. On badly cracked or uneven ceilings artex can be used to mask defects & unevenness, giving an old ceiling an almost new appearance

We can offer the full Property Management Service which Lettings Agents offer, however as an independent company we will be acting in your best interests and our maintenance charges will be at a competitive rate for a first class service. We will take away the stresses of being a Landlord and deal directly with your Tenants and Letting Agents on your behalf.

Because we are a small company we are able to offer a personal and friendly service whilst at the same time maintaining a high standard of competence and professionalism.

Our fees are competitive and may be open to negotiation dependent on the level of Service required. We are committed to investment Landlords and savings can be made on the smallest of portfolios. We have found that a good relationship with Tenants is the key to a smooth running tenancy. As Property managers this relationship is our job, but it is important that the Tenants should feel comfortable in their temporary home. It follows therefore that a well presented and maintained property in a good decorative order will go towards this and Tenants are more inclined to treat such a property with greater respect.


We carry out the inspection of rental properties pre and post letting as well as 6 monthly during Tenancies. We can carry out any repairs and maintenance that is required.

Our qualified building maintenance team carries out inspections of properties prior to the start of the rental and records the inspection.

Each inspection will be detailed together with photographs which will be emailed to landlords directly. This will allow you too immediately instruct us to carry out any repairs or maintenance.


Collapsed/fractured pipes

Pressure from above, such as a vehicle driving over the ground and poor drive way construction can cause cracks and fractures in your drainage pipes. Below ground these will all go unnoticed and will leak into the surrounding area/soil. Which will cause even more damage?

Tree roots

Roots seek out moisture, so they can find their way through existing faults into the drains. Once the tree roots have entered the drain, other material will get caught in them, making blockages far more likely and frequent.

Not just for an emergency

CCTV isn't just useful for finding the source of a current drainage problem, it can help avoid future problems. A CCTV survey can spot issues long before they develop into something more serious. Over the years, normal wear and tear can see your drains suffering damage both from usage and from subsidence, tree roots or just poor construction. The earlier these are spotted the sooner they can be repaired.

Before you buy a new home

If you discover a problem with your new home's drains after you've bought it, it could prove very expensive. That's why we offer property pre-purchase surveys, so that you can thoroughly check the condition of the drains in your potential new home with a CCTV camera before you take the big decision to buy it.

All CCTV surveys can be accompanied by a DVD on request.

Chimney Sweeping

The job of a chimney sweep is to clean and test your chimney flue. If the chimney is blocked or partially blocked you are in danger of chimney fires and harmful emissions (inc Carbon Monoxide) that are produced by any heating appliances including open fires and stoves.

The chimney will be fully sealed to stop any soot or debris entering the room. The chimney will then be swept and any debris and soot will be removed from the premises. A smoke test will then be carried out and a certificate issued.

We will endeavour to clean your chimney with little or no mess to the house. Our methods are:
